Native to China and Taiwan, this lovely plant is commonly called the Asian Bell, China Doll, Serpent Tree or Emerald Tree. Radermachera has attractive, glossy mid-green leaves divided into leaflets. The plant remains pretty compact and is easy to look after. Asian Bell plants need plenty of bright, but indirect light. They need 4-5 hours of this kind of light a day. Asian Bell plants need moist, but well-drained soil. Water when the soil on the top of the pot is dry to the touch or the plant starts to wilt. Be careful not to overwater as it can develop root rot if left sitting in water. This plant should not be re-potted often as it grows best when its roots are root bound.
*Actual plant may vary from photo, but will be of similar size and appearance*

Repotting of this plant should be avoided until your plant is established. For decorative purposes, we suggest placing the nursery pot inside a slightly larger 'cover' pot, at least until mid-late Spring. This will help to give your new plant the best start in life, without causing it any uncessary shock and damage to its root structure.
